South Korean boyband BTS have announced they are going on hiatus.
They announced during their annual FESTA dinner their decision to take a break and focus on solo projects.
Band member Jimin stated that the group had been going through a “rough patch.”
“We’re trying to figure out who we are, and it’s a lengthy and stressful process,” he said.
Band member J-Hope said the group will “spend some time apart to learn how to be one again.” He said he thinks “BTS will become stronger that way.”
BTS made its official debut in 2013. In their nine-year tenure, the group has had two Grammy nominations and six number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100.
Netflix is staging a real-life Squid Game series that’s being dubbed as “the biggest reality competition ever.” It will feature 456 players who will be competing for over $4.5 million dollars.
