Grammys Add New Awards For Next Year

The Grammys has announced several new awards and rule changes for the ceremony. 

The Recording Academy announced Songwriter of the Year, Best Alternative Music Performance, Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Best Spoken Word Poetry Album will be added to next year’s show.  

The Recording Academy has updated some of its rules, such as charging fees for artist entry submissions after members have used their five courtesy entries.

 Academy CEO Harvey Mason Junior said the academy is “excited to honor these diverse communities of music creators” through these new awards.
