A child is unharmed after getting his arm stuck in a prize vending machine. It happened at Western Bowl on the west side of Indianapolis on Saturday. The boy was trying to retrieve a toy that had become stuck when he required extrication. He was checked by an ambulance after being freed from the machine.  

A man shot by Jeffersonville officers dies from injuries, a child is uninjured after his arm is stuck in a prize vending machine and Indiana flu deaths rise to 230, with 32 in Marion County, WICR’s Giselle Valentin has today’s information update.  

There are now 230 flu deaths reported in Indiana this flu season. The Indiana Department of Health reported 13 additional deaths on Friday. Most of those recently reported deaths, which all involved people 65 and older, occurred in mid-to-late December. Marion County has the most flu deaths on record at 32.
